Mana·Grips

Culture · Whakapapa

Every line tells a story.

The patterns on every pair are inspired by tā moko — the Māori art of carving identity, lineage, and mana into skin.

Mana

Mana is presence. Authority. The dignity you carry into a room — or onto a pitch. We named the brand Mana Grips because we wanted gear that didn't just perform, it stood for something.

Tā Moko

Tā moko is the traditional Māori art of marking — every line, spiral and curve carries meaning: ancestry, achievements, identity. Our patterns are inspired by, not copied from, traditional moko. We design with deep respect, in conversation with culture, never in appropriation of it.

Whakapapa

Whakapapa is genealogy — the line that runs from your tūpuna (ancestors) through you, into what you create. Mana Grips is built by young students from Aotearoa, and every pair carries that whakapapa with it.

Worn With Pride

When you lace up a pair, you're not just stepping into a sock. You're stepping into a story — yours, and ours, woven together on the pitch.
